OMG its been so long since i have written anything i'm not quite sure where to begin, we have had a fantastic summer with the two boys.
Since arriving Lily has had great success with Rocky, a number of wins and trophies and she is now registered with BS and ready to start her HOYS campaign, who knows where this will lead, but my motto is its always worth shooting for the stars, we may have to settle for less but its worth a try.
we kicked off the summer with camp at seven acres our livery yard, Lily did camp on Disco and stayed at the yard all week, sleeping in the back of the trailer with her friends, they had great fun, the weather stayed fine, in fact it was the hottest week of the summer by far.
Lily did very well winning the dressage, SJ and becoming overall camp winner
Next stop was summer camp with Hayswood riding club, again a good week and although not so hot, the sun shone and much fun was had, we had camp fires and bbq's. Lily adventured into the water on the xc course and Rocky was a star for her, we stayed at Lincomb ec all week, Disco had a well earned rest. Rocky enjoyed his week and particularly enjoyed munching through his haylage overnight !!
Lily won tack and turn out and was joint winner for the SJ
In between our weeks away the boys have been enjoying some fabulous hacks on the malvern hills and surrounding area, we really are spoilt :)
Cricklands followed at the end of the summer, we took both boys, Disco doing u12 2'6, rocky doing u11 & u12 classes. We arrived in the rain and left in the rain, conditions were appalling and such a shame for all the kids and family staying, wecame home with a handful of rosettes but once again outside the medals.
We will try again next year
Plans now are to qualify for blue chip winter finals and hopefully POYS and scope festival for next year, lily also qualified for club BSJA regional finals with Disco in the 80 & 90 cms
